Commit yourself to mastering the art of public speaking and reap the rewards

The ability to clearly verbally articulate our thoughts, ideas and values to others is important. Think of the great business, political and social leaders of today and of the past. Would they be great leaders if they could not verbalize their thoughts and ideas? Maybe, but not likely.

Unfortunately, too many of us fail to understand the importance of public speaking. Even if we appreciate the opportunities afforded by solid public speaking skills, we go on with our day-to-day lives without doing anything about it.

Why? Complacency and fear

In respect to the former, a great many of us will take the ability to public speak for granted. We have been speaking since a young age, we have used the spoken word to communicate our needs, wants and requests, and it seems to have served us well. Right?
